A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV
Rob Garrett’s “KING OF DIAMONDS” Vegas residency show continues in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.
Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.
More than just being one of the biggest selling and record-breaking touring artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.
In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences worldwide through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.
Ask Siri “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.
Like his idol, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.
In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to Las Vegas, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.
In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.
What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.
He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”
He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.
Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas cheap tickets living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.
Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.
Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
